Because of the width of my kitchen, I can't use a full 36 inch sink cabinet in area where my sink is now and still use a corner cabinet. I'm considering converting a corner cabinet unit (the V shaped one as opposed the L shape) to accept a 34"x34" corner sink. It seems the easiest mod, otherwise I'd have to cut into the sides between a corner unit and the sink unit. It also allows me to keep the plumbing in almost the same spot, the corner of the corner unit would only be about 2 feet from the center of the current sink.

Any gotcha's that someone with more experience can think of?

I've got (most) of the kitchen layed out in the kitchen planner and I'm spending two weeks in Chicago for training (I'm 5 hours away in Cincinnati) so I'll have a few evenings to go bug the kitchen people. I'll probably try to get the entire order settled and vetted at that time. I'll also buy two sample cabs to take home with me to put in the garage and to use as test cases before I embark on doing all this mostly on my own.

Thanks!

I saw an interesting use of a v-shape corner cabinet in a recent home magazine. They mounted two sinks, one on each "wing" of the V. They were each bigger than one bowl of a double sink would be, and they each had a disposer. You could mount a swivel faucet between the two sinks, or as they did, give each sink it's own tap.

Interesting. That's definitely worth some thought. I wouldn't need dueling disposals, but otherwise ....

Back to the American Standard and Kohler websites for me...

LOL ! See now, for me, I would have to put disposers in both because I guarantee I would put food down the wrong drain! With disposers in both I couldn't make a mistake like that.

Ah, that's easily taken care of. On my sink now the disposer side has the plastic flappy bit (I'm technical, really) and the other side has a metal grate. The wrong side floods almost immediately if you put food in there.
