| Re: Mix different systems
Never done it, but I guess this is possible. It's going to depend on how far off the respective measurements are. Depending on the line and the specific hinge type, you might get a total maximum adjustment of 1/2" - i.e. 1/4" in either direction up and down - and even less side to side.
One BIG word of caution here - the hinges themselves and the corresponding holes drilled into the doors are going to be of different dimensions and placements as you cross from one product line to another.
Billy bookcases have a hinge plate that is more widely used than the Integral hinge plates in the Akurum line - it can be set closer or further to the front of the cabinet, depending on whether the door sits inside or on the edge of the frame. But you couldn't use the hinge from an "A" set hinge plate in place of a "B" set plate.
The hinge plates in Akurum are interchangable with those in the Pax Komplement hinges, but I wouldn't trade the Komplement hinge for an Integral hinge.
In the end, this may turn out to be one of things you can do but probably shouldn't.
