Thickness of MALM headboard?
Hey all. I'm working on a way to raise a double MALM bedframe up a bit so I will have more storage space. Could someone tell me what the thickness of the actual board that makes up the headboard and footboard part of the bed is?

I've assembled countless Malm beds, and never measured the thickness of the head- and foot boards. I will be re-visiting one on Friday, and will try to remember to take this measurement for you. In the meantime, I'd guess you're looking at about 2".

That would be great if you could measure and see! I'm thinking about 2" myself. I have the jonas desk with pull out panel which looks like a similar style, and the thickness there is just a smidge under 2"

The head and foot boards were close enough to 2" that I wouldn't waste the web space saying "a smidge under"! 
2" it is.

That is perfect! Thank you so much for checking for me!
My plan is to use a set of 4 of these at both the headboard and the footboard. If it is sturdy enough I may try adding two more sets for extra height, but I'd be happy with one!
