This small Askvit roll front cabinet was disassembled and reassembled in a cavity behind the countertop and cabinets to provide space for a mixer and food processor. In a space for a former broom closet granite countertop installers placed a piece of granite extending the counter back into the space in the wall. I ran the tracks from the cabinet on either side to allow the door to travel up an into the cavity behind the upper cabinet...a little glitchy at this point but a good solution...and the aluminum matches our stainless appliances.

This picture shows the interior, which also has an outlet to allow for the mixer to always be plugged in...

There is JUST enough room between the upper and lower cabinet to fit my smaller sized KitchenAid mixer...
