I thought that I could put Ikea doors on my existing "super susan" cabinet, but it doesn't seem to be going well. I'm probably going to have to get a custom guy to make me new doors, but first I thought I'd see if anyone on here had any suggestions. As you can see in the pictures, the doors have been cut quite a bit already, but I can't get it to shut and stay shut.

Another angle.

Edited to add: Pardon my chipped off toenail polish. I tend to do that when I'm stressed.

Does the door actually fit in the space? It just won't stay closed? If that's the case, maybe a low-tech solution like a magnetic catch would do? I have a few...I could mail you one.

The door does fit (now that it's closed). I thought about a magnetic catch, but the force pushing out seems to be too strong for that. I just came back from the hardware store, and the man who I talked to thinks that I may be able to keep playing with the adjustments of the hinge until it works.

i tend to agree with the man at the hardware store.... maybe you can get it "eased up" enough to then allow the magnetic catch (if not fix it outright)

That's exactly what I'm thinking now. I have it almost closed, so I think that I might run out to the hardware store again to get a magnetic catch. I didn't sleep last night, so I'll probably wait until tomorrow. I can see Lowe's across the lake from me, but the traffic is so bad due to construction that it might as well be 20 miles away.
