On another thread I was whining because there was 6" or 8" of wasted space in my trash pullout above the cans:

and I needed some knife storage. Thanks to that conversation, it was established that there was, in fact, a 18" rationel drawer front, and voila:

knife storage! I mounted the drawer glides in the #3 hole which I think is as far up as you can go...

Hey, splatgirl, do you want some wood in-drawer knife holders for that drawer? I've got a couple I am not using, one is still in the package. I'll be happy to send them to you!

Good deal! I'm planning to use an 18" unit for my trash pullout, so it's good to see a pic of yours. I had thought I'd use a drawer up there for trash bags, but that's a lot of room.

Hey, thanks for the offer, Eva! Are they the IKEA ones? I've never seen or tried those kind, so I'm not sure how well they'd work in there. I've always kept my knives on the wall on a magentic holder until now so I'm kinda clueless about what makes a good in-drawer one.
If they're the same ones as on the website, it looks like two would fit side by side in a 18" drawer box?

I have one from IKEA and one from Cost Plus. The IKEA one is slightly smaller, and they are both wood. If I can get the camera tomorrow I will take a pic for you. I'd be happy to get them off my shelf!
