Had planned on going with Adel White instead of Hallarum to avoid having cab base color visible in the door gaps. Now thinking of LILLJESTAD. Has anyone redone the edge banding on their cabs? Did you match stain after applying to cabs? Did you seal the edge banding finish with laquer?

Did you see the FAQ on the Fansite side? (I need to separate it from the other information on the Finish Matching link....I admit it's a little buried.)

I haven't done it myself, and I don't know if there's anyone currently frequently the site who has actually done it, but I know it can be done! I think when it's been done, the stain to match is done prior to attachment, then the edge banding is applied and trimmed. I'm not sure about laquer. I'd recommend getting a small box to experiment with prior to starting in on installed cabinets. I'd love to follow your progress in pictures if you decide to do it!

Anyone with more and/or first hand information out there?
