BTW, initially I ordered the whole Hafele unit but sadly had to return it as it requires a minimum 39 inch cab; the frame is too large to fit in a 36. The shelves, however, have nearly identical specs to the LV ones and can be ordered separately (though as I said you can only replace the 2 front and the bottom back shelf, not the uppermost back one).
I will have to look at my invoices; I was able to get it wholesale through my contractor. The wholesale price is more than the LV unit; I *think* the frame part was about $350 and each shelf about $45, i.e. , around $530 (the retail price is really staggering). I have to say though that the Hafele magic corner is very nice looking. It is offered in either white with chrome or maple with champagne-colored hardware. And it comes with soft close.
I also had initially ordered a Hafele LeMans unit, which has 2 peanut-shaped shelves that swing completely out of the cabinet, but returned it because it cannot be installed with a drawer on top, which I wanted. That one comes in a few sizes and the small one does fit in a 36 cab, though I think the larger ones are nicer because the shelves hold so much more (the one in Hafele's LeMans video is the large). It, too, was beautifully made.
thanks yl, that is staggering for a wholesale price. though i think most folks know someone who can get wholesale if they really thought about it
i have this strange thing in me that even if i can afford something yet feel its price is inflated i just won't do it. and Hafele's price is pretty inflated, imho...

I am the same way, which is exactly why I picked IKEA over the ridiculously overpriced, imo, Euro cab company that gave me a six-figure estimate (65K for the cabs alone) for the same layout.
But, re the corner unit, I had 2 blind corners to contend with and they were a real problem in my old kitchen (one had shelves and the other had a fairly useless lazy susan), and I really needed a good solution for those. I was concerned about the quality of the LV (having not seen one in person) and did not have a lot of time to shop around, and as I said, I do not like wire baskets. The Hafele units are truly beautiful. But when they did not suit my needs (one didn't fit; the other could not be installed with a drawer), the LV unit proved to be quite nice and very good value. And since I kitted it out with the Hafele shelves, I am really happy with it.
BTW, the Rev-a-shelf version retails for over $900, though it, too, can be had for a bit less.
Generally speaking, I think the markups on kitchen items are atrocious.
