staining issue - color not drying / sticking
Hi.

I am using some IKEA Water based Stain to change the color of a bed. The bed was in untreated wood, so staining should be good.

I put 5 coats of stain (black), but rubbing my finger on the stained wood leaves black marks on my fingers.

Any suggestions ?

Would using a clear coat on top help? any recommendation for the type of clear coat to use?
