apply high gloss on Harlig cabinets
I really like the high gloss look of the abstrakt but it's much more expensive than the Harlig(which is white laminate.) Is it possible to paint several coats of polyurethane on the Harlig to get that same high gloss look? or would I be better off to just buy unpainted cabinets then paint them white and varnish them myself? thx

If I wanted Abstrakt I would wait until I could get it or mix abstrakt with another door style.

You aren't going to get a DIY finish to resemble abstrakt and if you did it wouldn't be worth the time, effort, or money.

I'm not sure I follow, I don't shop IKEA too often. you mean get the abstrakt say for the base and harlig for the wall (for example) ? btw , if I got the abstrakt, what kind of frame/shelves/drawer do they come with? I think the store associate said all the frames are the same only the door/front are different.
