We bought a Sansad kids table for our kids and would love to have some sort of paper roll mounted to the side or underneath. The Mala roll holder does not come with the intention to mount - it's only for sitting on the top of the table. Has anyone made this work mounted or do you have ideas on another non-Mala solution for a paper roll, ideally with a safe way to easily rip off a sheet of paper?

One of the challenges you're going to face here is overcoming gravity. The Mala roll holder works, in part, because the weight of the paper roll holds the rod it rests on in place - there are no fasteners that do that. You're best bet is going to be mounting the holder sideways, and finding a way to keep the roll from coming out when you pull on it - a retaining screw or something similar, perhaps.

If you can overcome that issue, it would be relatively easy to screw the holder into the table, as it's made of solid pine and will hold screws or bolts very well.
