Question Kitchen Aid mixer shelf

Could someone advise me as to what cabinet width would be best for a kitchen aid mixer stand. I want to install on of those revashelf pop up shelves in it. I'm thinking 15", but not sure. I love this site-- first time posting! Thanks! Laura

I think a 15" would do- do you have the mixer at hand? Sadly, mine's buried until I get that new kitchen done! Measure the widest part- like with the handles sticking out and all, and add an inch or two to each side for smooth operation...

I was just posting about my MIL 's wonderful 80's kitchen in another thread- it was the first time I saw these pop ups, the first time I saw a Sub-Zero...

Do you remember your first time? Hah! TKO all the way!

that's bizarre that the product specs don't give a width, but my KA stand mixer is about 9.5" so with all the hardware you should be fine with a 15" cabinet. the interior space is only about 13.5", but the lift hardware mounts below the shelf, not to the side... if this is the lift you're looking at:

Thank you both so much! Yes, that is the lift I was looking at, but yours is about $25 cheaper. I'm bookmarking it! thanks again!

Re: Kitchen Aid mixer shelf

I wanted to jump in on this thread as I too am planning a pop up shelf. But my question is, using the above hardware, can you have a small drawer at the top of the cabinet, then the shelves or do you have to have all shelves in the cabinet to use the pop up hardware? My thinking is that if there's a small drawer, the hardware will still work, just the appliances won't pop up to countertop height. They'll pop up lower than countertop level by however tall the drawer is. Please confirm if my reasoning is correct.

Thanks!
