Are these designed for Ikea style cabinets rather than the framed style? My Home Depot only carries the Rev a shelf tip out trays for framed and they don't work very well even with the mods I read here. My BIL did it for my sister's kitchen and they aren't that happy with the result.
I was just giving a customer a "head's up" about this issue - are you paying attention, AH?
The Rev-a-shelf system works fine in a 24" sink cabinet - there's no issue due the framelessness (sounds sort of pathetic, doesn't it?) of the IKEA cabinets. But with the 30 and 36" cabinets, there is an issue because of the greater length and lack of a center post as an anchor. The mods allow this span to be made, but they aren't great solution.
The ETH Series you've posted pictures of appear to require a horizontal member to attach to, which the Akurum cabinets don't have when assembled according to the instructions. What you could do is take the rear rail (most of which I normally cut out anyway) and install it below the front rail, so that it could act as the anchor for those hinges - that might work out very nicely. Or, if you want to stick to the instructions, install a piece of 1x3" pine as that lower anchor rail.

Just taking my inner IKEA geek out for a walk.
on further examination. could i use the self-holdin' hinges, which appear to only attach to the sides of the cabinet and a 14" tray attached to the front?
I am adding to this thread because I ended up using the Tip out tray that zeuss mentions in the first post, the one with the ETH hinges. It does not require a horizontal member to attach to and the 36" polymer tray can be cut to any length.
I bought the slimline tilt-out tray first by mistake, so I didn't install it until I received the right one. Finally got the right one after Christmas, but only installed it this week. I got the Rev-A-Shelf 6551-36-11-ETH, this comes with a 36" long white polymer tray which you cut to the length you need, and Euro hinges instead of the standard hinges.
Installation was easier than I expected, although I didn't follow the directions (I didn't think the directions were very good):
I drilled the holes for the hinges on the sides (didn't measure, just placed them a couple of millimeters back from the edge and over the bottom), and screwed the hinges to the cabinet.
I set the 30" drawer front carefully in place, on top of the closed hinges, then had someone hold it while I marked the drill spots with a pencil, reaching from below (this was tricky).
I drilled on the 30" drawer front, and attached it to the hinges.
I cut the tray to about 25" (had to be a bit smaller than you would on a regular door because you can't drill on the aluminum part of the LINJÄR handle, so the tray sits a bit lower), then screwed it to the drawer front (hinges fully extended made this easy).
Hardly any adjustments were needed, I did raise one side a tiny bit, but only because I am anal.
And here's the finished product:

MiamiBeach - would you mind if I took a large part of your post and created an article out of it - or amended the current article documenting the installation of tip out trays? You gave a great explanation and pictures to boot!

Of course I wouldn't mind! Too bad I didn't think of taking photos during the process.
I'm looking at those Euro hinges too for my tilt out tray.
When I look at them, they do seem to be intended for a framed cabinet, which to me sounds strange, they really don't use framed cabinets in Europe.
So I can see on your pictures, that you attached them without a horizontal support.
How have they been holding up, now you have used them for a while? Is it still sturdy and strong enough, just using the side support, is it holding it up?
It looks sturdy, but I am wondering if I would be better of adding a support on the sides, little wood blocks or so.

There is a great deal of those trays and hinges on Amazon.
