EDIT: Nevermind! I just unrolled the entire blind and the insert comes out extremely easily. Shortening it should just be a matter of slicing the top roller bar. I'll post more info as I complete it tomorrow.
Is it at all possible to shorten the width of the Enje or Isdans roller blinds? I really like the rolling chain control of the Enje but the window I want to cover is less wide than the smallest Enje (23.5 in/60 cm). I could probably borrow someone's tools to cut and shorten the top tube but I'm not sure the insert piece on one end (not the side with the chain) is removable and reinsertable. The bottom bar I could just get rid of and attach a dowel or something else instead. I was also thinking of changing the fabric if possible.
Basically I just want the top bar and chain mechanism from the blind. I haven't seen the Isdans roller blind in person so if someone could tell me the difference b/t that and the Enje that would be great too. Thanks!

Not sure about this one on the Isdans or Enje. I believe we have the Enje and at one end there are notches within the roller itself that fit with corresponding notches in the outside bracket mechanism. It would be possible but you would have to use some sort of strong glue inside, because the notches only are about one inch deep within the hollow roller.

Longwave, how did it work out?
I have bought the Enje. For one I would like to add my own fabric, for the others I just want to shorten the width a bit. I would prefer to keep the bottom metal rail.
Re: Shorten width of Enje or Isdans roller blinds?
I would like to use a different size pipe with the system. Is this possible? I have 2 windows I would like to try with PVC pipe and my own fabric. One is 102" wide and the other is 70" wide.
Anyone think this will work? Anyone know the diameter of the existing pipe?
