Hi folks:

I am contemplating a 24" base cabinet in my kitchen. I'm just not sure I would find the current construction to be very functional. I'm considering doing a modification of some kind, maybe to change the doors to drawer units or something. I was wondering if anyone else has already done this? If not, I may take a crack at doing a mod all by myself!

As Gloria has mentioned in the other thread, 3-drawer setups exists already in the system; it's just not in the planner/materials.

I have a 24" cabinet that I use for all my 'office' stuff. It has a three-drawer front, with a hidden pull-out shelf inside the middle drawer. Why, then, did I use three drawers instead of four?....the bottom of a three-drawer configuration is tall enough for portable file cases. Bottom drawer is for files and larger items, the middle drawer(s) are for papers I need to file/work on/or spare note pads, and the top drawer is pens/pencils/rubber bands, etc. I may end up putting my modem and router in the bottom drawer as well. This is my favorite cabinet of them all.

I have a 24 inch base pullout with internal pull out drawers, as well as a top drawer with a wood front above the base pullout. The 24 inch configuration is one of the most flexible!
