Pullout trash can in 12" base cabinet

I'm trying to use my 12" wide base cabinet as a pullout for a trashcan. I have a plumbing pipe at the base of the cabinet, so I want to install the one deep drawer at the top, cut a whole in the drawer bottom, sink a trashcan in it, and attach the cabinet door to the front of the door.

Has anyone found a trashcan that can fit in this? (After I subtract the size for the rails and metal sides of the drawer, it's only 7" wide. But it can be as deep as the drawer I suppose.

Re: Pullout trash can in 12" base cabinet

I did a little searching and I found one 8" wide but it's not a full can- just a holder that you could fasten to the front of the pull out

Or you could do this:

Re: Pullout trash can in 12" base cabinet

My can just sits in the drawer, but I bet it would fit in your proposed setup. I use the standard black office-type garbage can I got at HD - kind of tall and skinny. The Ikea Ribba white square can also fits, but I can't remember what kind of lip it would have and whether it would work in a frame.
