Hi. I just wanted to let you all know that I was at my Ikea in Paramus, NJ today and they had the new Fredrika fabrics. The lady working there who cut for me said that they had just come in. They weren't even on display yet, just bolts in a bin. They are stunning fabrics & only $5.99/yd.

Hi everyone, I am really interested in that NUTID Extractor hood. I notice that the photo with it hanging over an island in the UK "new products" catalogue replaced it with a lamp in the US catalogue.
What do the experienced Ikea fans know about when products show up here in the US, if at all? Do some things sold in Europe never show up in the US?

I don't think there is any relationship between when products show up here or across the pond. Some things they have there, we never get, and some things are made just for the North American market. It's a mysterious thing!

I'd love to see your plans or hear your dreams for your IKEA kitchen. Cave Creek is such an active area!

A week ago I took some pics at Amsterdam of some of the new products. Btw, 700 euro is not cheap for an extractor fan or fridge!

Hi - Thanks Eva and ikeaopklompen for your remarks. Just another note about the new extractor fan - it's listed on Ikea's UK website for 425 GBP (about $843) which is considerably less than Amsterdam's 700EU (about $1,064). But this is all moot since I'm not ordering it from England!! I'll just wait till it shows up here...
I am still working on my kitchen design with cutouts and graphpaper. But as soon as I can, I'll start putting the designs into Ikea's Kitchen planner. When I do, I'll submit it here for opinions and suggestions! I've already found a lot of answers and ideas just reading through all the different threads!

Last time I went to IKEA I saw that they are now making the classic Billy glass doors half the height.
