Hello All... I was so excited to read that Ikea is opening a store in Denver, possibly in 09! Last rumor I heard was that they already broke ground, but it has been quiet since then. I enjoyed Ikea very much while I lived in Europe and cannot wait for its opening in Denver!

I would like to know, too! All the press reports are old and I cannot find any new updates on the internet. I send an email to Ikea a while ago but their reply pretty much gave me no info at all. I heard the rumor that Denver is not happy with the set up of Ikea stores (the yellow and blue might not fit into Denver) and the local furniture stores (American Furniture ) rebelled against the opening of Ikea (AF realized that their furniture is boring, Ikea would be too much competition!)

Any news??? Updates?

I heard that the Colorado IKEA planned for Centennial Colorado is an expected 2010 opening. The long-awaited Somerville, MA IKEA store is also planned for 2010, but there were no other store openings mentioned in the US for this upcoming year.

IKEA has opened over 20 stores in the last 7 years in the US!
