I was considering an IKEA kitchen and I was googling IKEA install and reviews and found this site. Honestly it convinced me to go ahead. There's no way I would have gone ahead without all the information provided on this site to reassure me it was doable.
I googled something involving the Domsjo sink. At the time we were considering it for a new house we were constructing. I am happy to report that we are a week from occupying the house, the kitchen is missing some toe kicks, and later I today I will be installing the pulls, so it's almost done. Just put on the first coat of mineral oil on the tops. Anyway, when it is completed I will post pics, we are quite pleased.
I was in the store, ordering cabinets, and the kitchens coworker who helped me mentioned it.
This past weekend, I attended a kitchen installation workshop, and told one of the other attendees about the site.

I always liked modern looking kitchens, but couldn't picture what Ikea would look like in a real setting. Did a Google search for Ikea kitchen images and found you and Ikea Hacker at the same time. I was in heaven!
Hi, (this is my first post)
I've been determined to use IKEA cabinets when I got around to building my new house, but thought I'd check the net to see if other people were happy with the quality. I used Google (don't recall my search terms) and found "finishedkitchens.com" (I think it's connected to GardenWeb). Needless to say I found lots of very happy IKEA cabinet customers.
Anyhow, somewhere somebody mentioned the IKEAFANS site very favorably.
I am now in the actual floorplan layout stage, so I came back here to look for more ideas. (I promise to donate if I use anything! Really!!)
