Thank you very much! I'm ready with my kitchen design using the IKEA kitchen planner (I'm very pleased with it and look forward to tips and suggestions) but I haven't yet found the place on this site where it tells you how to post it and where. (I don't think I have tried hard enough to find it, but there are so many great distractions here!)
I have spent hours on this site looking at other people's kitchens and just marveling at how beautiful they are. I also have been reading old threads including one where someone asked "can I install it myself" which is exactly one of my questions!! EvaPerconti's answer (from 2005 or 2006) was very reassuring.
Could you just lead me to the section that will tell me how and where to post my plans? I know it's probably in the new member guide... I did find something about using Google's Sketch Up, but it was late and I was getting tired and confused...
Thank you!
On the menu at the left, you'll see a link for Kitchen Planning Tools - in it there's a link for Kitchen Planning 101 - Getting started on your kitchen design, an article which contains a bunch of helpful links, including one on how to save and post your plans here at IKEAFANS. You'll start your thread in Kitchen Planning for help. If you have more questions, feel free to post over there for some help! Good luck!

I was doing a MSN search on Ikea Varde and Bravad kitchen cabinets and discovered IKEAFANS. I lurked for awhile, then decided to join, as I love most anything Ikea. I don't live near a store, so my catalogs are frayed with pages falling out and I spend alot of time checking the forums to see whats new and get ideas for my own spaces.
As part of my whole "this old house" remodel, I am installing several IKEA Akurum/Rationell base cabinets with antique finish Fagerland drawer fronts. My son helped out assembling the drawers but mistakenly snapped in the drawers fronts upside down . I did a google search on "IKEA drawer front remove" and found this IKEAFANS website. I am grateful to those who posted the same question, and everyone who posted the easy fix. When I found myself wondering if I could safely install one drawer damper per drawer, the forum again proved invaluable. i'll be back again. Thank you!
Well not that ive officially made my sister (another ikea fan, and fellow female chronic "nester") insanely jealous for visiting the new ikea nearby us (west chester, oh -- we both live in lexington) and considering i have joined an ikea group on facebook, it was a matter of time i stumbled upon this little jewel of a site.
I actually googled the morkedal bed, knowing its discontinued, but hoping for the best. I actually DID find the sacred bedframe style on a craigslist posting from los angeles, however when i clicked on the website the post had been "deleted by its author." : (
Welcome one and all! frankrose - spread the word in the Facebook group!

Great site! I was googling the Noresund bed to see which slats would be best. Also found help on how to fit komplement drawers around the Pax wardrobe door hinges (really helpful photos).
The Noresund beds seem to be disappearing in UK, so we will take delivery of our Pax frames and the new Leirvik bed tomorrow. Looking forward to building them, but need to wait for our glass Birkeland doors to come back in stock.
The staff in the Edinburgh store were really helpful by the way.
I was checking google to see if IKEA had decided to open a store in Colorado. So far - it looks like we are getting the cold shoulder! Too bad - this will be a great market if IKEA puts one here.
