New York, NY (August 1, 2007) – The IKEA New Year begins this week as the new IKEA 2008 catalog launches in the United States with a focus on LIVING YOUR WAY. Out with the old rules that are so last year about how to live or decorate. In with fresh, new designs that make it easy to live the way people REALLY live. And all at the same affordable price and value for which IKEA is known.

“We know you watch TV-so do we!” exclaims Bill Agee, Marketing Manager, IKEA US. “So we make it comfortable for you to sprawl on the sofa, watch a movie on your big screen TV and eat pizza. Relax, you can wash the slipcover tomorrow!” Agee adds, “Somehow, the living room has become a place reserved only for company and special occasions, which is silly. At IKEA, we’re putting the LIVING back into living rooms.”



New IKEA designs such as the BESTÅ storage system help find a place for a big flat screen TV. Hang it up without putting a hole in the wall, or close the sliding doors to hide it. Classic sofas like the EKTORP are made extra comfortable with feather cushions-but still at low IKEA prices.
