Well it has been 6 gruelling weeks of 4am workdays, and many trips back to out local Ikea and Home Depot, but finally we are in the last stages of our kitchen reno. Here is a link with our progress.

We pretty much gutted our old kitchen, ripped open walls, redid electrical and plumbing as well as changed every major surface area in the kitchen.

Cabinets: Adel White and Lidingo White
Counter: Granite - Imperial Cafe (Granite Gallery Calgary - These guys were amazing. 2 Week turnaround time to install from the date of template)
Backsplash: 1X1" Mosaic Stainless Steel tiles
Wall Colours: Benjamin Moore Escarpment and Rocky Road (wall with sink is Rocky Road as well as wall with fireplace).
Sink: Blanco SteelArt Farm Sink
Faucet: Blanco Pro Series
Fridge: JennAir Counter depth (if you do not have a recessed space, it is possible to purchase a counter depth fridge that will give you the built in look)
Cooktop: Jenn Air
Oven: Fridigaire Pro Series Convection



Furniture in Living Room: Sunpan

We still have a few finishing touches (kickplates, couple of doors, and handles, and a custom wine rack that will fit next to the Lidingo Upper Cabinet and fill in the space between the wall and the Cabinet).

Why thank you! That was definetly what we were going for. We wanted that nice balance between the traditional and modern. It was definetly down to the wire to get it done for Christmas! Santa installed the last kitchen cabinet and the oven at approx 4:30am Dec 25th.... Just in time for our guests to arrive for our LARGE annual Christmas Brunch 5 hours later!!!!

Thanks guys, we are very pleased with the way that it turned out. We have had company over all week and everyone is shocked to find out that it is an ikea kitchen. It's too bad that there is that assumed "cheap" look that goes with the Ikea name. I guess this is just proof that the end result does not have to be that way.

I tried to see your photos but the link no longer works. Do you still have photos online I could see? I really want to do the adel/lidingo mix in white, but worried about the slight difference in color. Did you go with all white? Love to see you pics!
