Re: Modern Abstrakt White Kitchen Finally Done!
i found your post while searching for topics on abstrakt, and i must say... you have an absolutely amazing home.
i love your choice of dark wood floors with white trim and earth-tone walls. it really has a clean, sophisticated feel to it.
also, that miele microwave sliding door thing is ridiculous! at first i was like "what the heck is that big silver door above the oven!" and then saw the picture of it open. what a great idea!
congrats on completely flipping those rooms around!

Re: Modern Abstrakt White Kitchen Finally Done!
Hi Joeclothing,
Your kitchen looks great and is very much along the lines of what I would like to do.
A question about your Miele appliance tower:
It looks like, from bottom to top, Miele warming drawer, Miele single oven(?not in your list of appliances), Miele microwave lift up door.
Did you ever consider putting in the Miele coffee machine? I would like to make a tower similar to yours but instead being, from bottom to top, single oven, microwave, coffee machine, but I am concerned that the height of the coffee machine would make it unusable.
Any thoughts and calculations you went through with your appliance tower would be great. Particularly, how are you finding the height of your microwave now? Is there any extra space where you have the filler between appliances that I could use in my tower to get a couple extra inches for the coffee machine?
Thanks!
Maria

Re: Modern Abstrakt White Kitchen Finally Done!
I'm not sure if Joe has been on the Ikeafan board lately but I'm wondering about the dimensions of the top cabinets he used? To me they look like the 17 3/4H by 24 W wall cabinets (W2418) but I'm not positive? I am considering using that cabinet for my top cabinets, just looking for some feedback regarding their size. Do they accommodate enough stuff? And I will say that I'm a wee bit short so I was trying not to stack my cabinets too high!!

Re: Modern Abstrakt White Kitchen Finally Done!
Could you share some more information about the "Custom Mix Benjamin Moore Paint" that you used for your kitchen?
Or, does anybody have any recommendation for a specific white in benjamin moore paint? I have to choose it today, but I'm still not sure which white would look good with Abstrakt white cabinets?

Re: Modern Abstrakt White Kitchen Finally Done!
beautiful. can you tell me how you handled the built-in refrigerator? did you build an ikea box around it? does the fridge go all the way up to the ceiling or do you have an ikea cabinet above it? we have 96" ceilings and the subzeros go up to about 84" so we don't know what we would do with the remaining 12" as we don't see an ikea cabinet that small. thoughts?
