I'm so confused... anyways I thought I should post up inspiration, I know that I came here for inspiration. I hope they help. It was a lot of work. A lot of fear, and in the end alot of joy at the result. I did everything except plumbing.
WOW you're observant, yes I guess the clock is the only thing really to survive. Though i still have the pantry door in the other room.
The floor is a 16x16 Philedefia travertine, and brown emprador marble. The floors are heated with radiant heating. All from Universal Slate in Calgary.
All this was a huge challenge as stone requires a floor twice as strong as tile. So we added 3/4 inch plywood, the floor heating, covered the floor heating with 1/4 inch of self leveling cement, then a 1/8inch of ditra, then the tile. There are some fantastic tile forums out there to help, without them would not have happened.
I love this kitchen! It really shows the more traditional style that we're not so used to seeing from Ikea! Wonderful job..it makes me consider using liljestad!
