We used Sherwin Williams Semi-gloss paint.

We used Scherr's paint grade doors, which are the less expensive ones The door styles are:

#400, 409, 540-N which are for the doors, taller doors (pantry), and drawer fronts.

I used Restoration Hardware hinges because I found them on Ebay at a bargain price. It was all about finding good deals.

Looks fantastic - love the traditional with modern touches. It really works. The modern take on traditional subway tiles is a great choice!

So how different are your cabinet doors from Adel White? Was it worth the extra time and money? I was rethinking my kitchen plans with a white shaker look in mind and thought Adel white for the price and durability.

Thank you! That's exactly what we wanted, a traditional kitchen with all the modern advantages.

Adel white is pretty similar, but it looks modern, although I'm pretty sure that if you use hinges and cup holders it will look very very similar to our kitchen. I just didn't like the plain front drawers and the fact that it doesn't look like wood. Other Ikea doors of the same material have a wood looking surface, but Adel white is not one of them.

Once it's done, you feel like it was all worth it, but while you are doing all the work you second guess. BUT IT'S WORTH IT!!! It really is...

We used glass mosaic white tiles that we also found on Ebay and you can still find!!! He still sells them and you can't find that price anywhere!
