These are pictures of our kitchen from before until we finished our renovation. We were going for a white shaker style kitchen with Soapstone countertops. We purchased all the frames and drawers from Ikea and ordered our doors and drawer fronts from Scherr's and to save some money we painted them ourselves. The door latches are from Restoration Hardware and the pulls are from Pottery Barn. And beleive it or not, we purchased ALL our appliances on Ebay, and we saved thousands. We had the countertops "cut to size" and we installed them ourselves, which also saved us a lot.
We had a budget and we stuck to it, with a lot of patience we found what we wanted at bargain prices. I hope you enjoy our kitchen!

GORGEOUS!!!!! Your layout of your cooking and sink areas, along with the island is nearly identical to the layout I've created for my kitchen. Do you have 9' ceilings? Was Scherr's price to paint the doors expensive?
I've dreamed of a beautiful white kitchen like that for so long and you've truly inspired me. Well done!!!!!

Having the doors painted by Scherr's almost doubled the price! That's why we decided to do it ourselves, It took a lot of time though, it made us second guess our decision, but saving that much money was worth the work.

Really Beautiful Work! It's a gorgeous traditional kitchen.
Can I ask a couple questions?
What sheen of paint did you use? (gloss?, semi?)
How wide is the border or edge around the recessed paneling on the Scherr's doors. Did you just use their standard shaker paint ready one? Or better yet, what model door did you get from Scherrs?
