After many frustrating hours with the clunky IKEA software and a little consultation with architect friends we came up with this design.
Main points:
1. Adel Birch
2. Horizontal uppers on one wall with glass doors
3. Gas KitchenAid rangetop built in (modification...see bottom of this thread http://www.ikeafans.com/forums/forum12/100.html )
4. Exposed Bosch exhaust hood with stainless side panels (modification ... see this thread: http://www.ikeafans.com/forums/forum12/2166.html )
5. Stainless (but not fingerprint-less) appliances
6. Frigidaire fridge, Thermador Conventional/Convection/Microwave double ovens, Gaggenau dishwasher
7. Single bowl deep corner sink with air-switch for disposal, pull-out Damixa faucet and soap dispenser (modification...see later in this thread: http://www.ikeafans.com/forums/forum12/1428.html )
8. Pull out trash can (modification...see end of this thread http://www.ikeafans.com/forums/forum12/990.html )
9. Askvit appliance garage (modification ... see this thread: http://www.ikeafans.com/forums/forum12/2165.html )
10 Granite countertops

The following pictures move from left to right in our kitchen...starting with the appliance garage (closed) and Laundry chute door (Adel) between the cabinets here. We used drawers on this wall and pedestal feet all around. The parts of the wall you can see are deep "Delft" blue. On the right is the rangetop and exhaust hood, which exhausts through the ceiling and out the side wall...glass backsplash protects the exposed brick.

Double ovens in built-in cabinet (they are convection too, and the top one is also a microwave...which saved on space)...had to build up the dishwasher because of the use of the 6 inch Capital legs...

Very nice job! That blue looks fantastic with the birch. I love the cooktop cabinet run, they look great raised on the Capita legs. And very clever to use the recess next to the chimney for the fridge! I've never seen a laundry chute in the kitchen before, that's pretty cool. How does it work? Is it just a door over the opening to the chute?

I love how you incorporated the brick too, and your floor is just lovely.

Could you please take more pictures of how you raised the dishwasher? I will have to do the same thing.

Very nice! Was there anything special needed for plumbing and electric with cabinets on raised legs?

Also - where did you get the wine bottle holder?
