I popped into Ikea tonight after work and I had my camera and a notebook so I took some pictures. Thought I'd share. Nothing new and no new kitchen displays up but it looks like they're getting ready for new stuff. No new kitchen catalogs yet. There are 50 photos! Enjoy.

Thanks for the pics! I'd never seen an island with a recessed breakfast bar in that configuaration before . . interesting. Also, the Rubrik ss doors seem a little high maintenance with all those fingerprints!!

Cyndi - I'm with ya on the Rubrik doors but someone just joined and has had the SS doors with no problem. I imagine that the Ikea display is touched a WHOLE lot more than a regular kitchen and that the Ikeans are way too busy to keep the display clean.

Isn't that island idea cool? I love it too.

It's official: Paramus has the WORST displays! Looking at these pics from New Haven and Ulrik's pics from Athens are making me jealous.

I'm with you on UDDEN, though...mine IS way better. The one they put together in NH sort of looks like they're suggesting it's intented to be used in a garage!

That's exactly what I thought Anna. Udden is so cool and they completely didn't showcase it like they could have.

I really like the Udden kitchen that they show in the 2007 catalog (I haven't seen the kitchen catalog yet). Both catalogs always make we wish Ikea sold tile. Don't they always have the best stuff?

Jenn, I was wondering why they still have an Abstrakt Black display since it's discontinued. Perhaps they're getting ready to add a new one to replace it. Thanks for the Pics. Perhaps we should start a whole new thread with everyone's IKEA store display picturesso we can get more ideas.

Laurie - I think these are pretty rag tag and they're getting ready to update. They're running a HUGE sale on the Abstrakt black cover panels, doors and drawer fronts - $5 each.
