Almost finished before and after photos
We're not 100% done, but close enough to start showing some photos. Below is a link to few pics showing before and afters. I have LOTS more photos showing details and interiors for the Totally Kitchen Obsessed, but that album will take more time than I have right now, as I plan to list all the appliances, prices, materials, modifications, etc.

The kitchen was designed with function first in mind. The lay out works extremely well and everything is stored where it's needed. The cabinets are Adel medium brown (but you will all know that!) The countertops are phenolic resin (same material as Richlite).

Polly, I hope you are super proud of yourself. That is a lovely kitchen! and i really like the can/bottle chute, I'm going to steal that someday! The floors are beautiful.
It's all such a big change, I can't even start talking about any single thing cause they're all so great!

PollyQ: Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Love the recycle chute and also the countertops look tremendous with the Adel MB.

Oh my goodness - I love it! I especially like the big wall by the stove with the large tiles and all the fun stuff on the wall.

We are finishing up our Adel MB and still trying to decide on floors. This whole time I was thinking maybe maple, if we go with wood, so that it contrasts with the cabinets. Your photo has about changed my mind. What type of floor is that?

It all looks amazing!

the floors
Jen,

The floors are Bruce prefinished 3/4" solid oak in "gunstock" . This was an easy decision for us, as that it is what we have on the rest of the first floor of the house. I didn't choose it because it matches the Adel MB, but we're very happy with the result; it does feel cozy.
