Magnetic Knife Rack (not ikea!)
So I wanted a magnetic knife rack but on the side of our cabinets... Ikea's are all too long for this use and DH found one at Target that could be easily cut down to fit where we wanted it. He got it installed today and it's just so pretty!

The knife rack is Chicago Cutlery brand from Target and started at 14" long. DH cut them down to about 12 - 5/16" for us using his dremmel.

Very nice! I wish that the Grundtal one fit on the side of a wall cabinet. But in my case, it was good that it didn't...the place I wanted to put it was highly visible from the living room. A bunch of really sharp knives doesn't exactly evoke the warm and friendly feeling, KWIM?

Yeah - we debated on it for a little bit but you see ours from the sink side only or from the window looking in (maybe it's a good incentive to stay out )
