heres out before and after pics.
We have done some major renovations that are still under way, my bro is a carpenter which makes things easier 3 weekends and several evening after work this is what has been done so far. Still plenty left to do though.
Thank you for sharing your pictures. Quite a lot has been accomplished! Which of the white cabinet styles are those? What are you planning for floors and walls? It's looking great!
I had the same thought, Dulci. (Wow, how would someone spend 56k $ on an IKEA kitchen? )
I think Dulci was referring to the fact that if you loaded the photos to the galleries instead of linking from Photobucket, you could drop in thumbnails and then even folks on dialup could open the thread and see all the thumbnails without any problem. If they were interested in seeing a full-size photo, then they could click on that individual photo to see it in the gallery. Noone would have to be worried about opening a page with multiple large sized photos inline because the size of the thumbnails is miniscule. Plus, then the photos would be searchable in our gallery database!

OK, I will post in the gallery when I load some future photos.
I am actually in Brisbane, Australia.
The doors are all applad white. We had a budget of $4000 on the kitchen itself, and then about $2000 for appliances, paint, tiles, electrician, etc. We will have done that easily as we know a few people to get everything we need at good discounts. The oven and dishwasher cost $300 2nd hand for both, they had about 12 months use before being replaced due to a renovation that my brother was involved with and are in perfect condition, so they were a bargain.
Looks like my brother has desided on a greyish slate coloured tile, we got hold of a few samples and it should look good.
The splash back will be white tiles. We are keeping all the colours simple as we are selling up at the end of the year and it will be best for resale value. The new kitchen should add plenty onto the value of the house. Glad the old orange colour is gone
LOL I, too, thought it was $56,000 and was also wondering how and the heck you could spend that much on an IKEA kitchen.
Looks like you have your work cut out for you. We did a total gut in my mom's previous home (the whole house!!!) and it was alot of work. I'll be looking forward to your finale!
