Ah, I wish that was the horrid little car-port. But alas! it is the little screened number that hung off the backside of the kitchen -- probably had broken jalousie windows when you saw it.

OK, so that was the porch where the mudroom was started?
I'm waiting to hear from IKEA Direct about the shipping for my supplementary order of the stuff I forgot when I did my main order. I do need the deep drawers for my three 24" cabinets (IKEA Direct does not seem to be able to get these), but DH will be in Atlanta again for Labor Day and I think I will just set up for him
to pick those up when he goes to get the PAX units for our master closet.
If you get out this way, give me a call and stop by. Or I'll just let you know when we have our open house so you can see the finished product - though that is a little unfair since I saw your house in progress.
Ok, here's the backsplash -- try to view while seated as the effect might amaze you! Well, most people have liked it -- Although it is brown, brown, brown (brown floor, brown cabs, brown backsplash, black countertops), I hope the shine lightens things up a bit & the under cab lights will help (as did CLEANING the windows! Amazing effect & CHEAP!)

I didn't realize you had that many windows in there. Of course, I only saw it in the absolute middle of your remodel. It was hard to tell what the room looked like then. It has come a very long way.
