Wow...your kitchen is beautiful. So much work you've done. It doesn't even look like the same place. You should be very proud. I love your kitchen wall color and your countertops.
Thanks, folks! I had the fabrication guy in last week to do the final measurements for the support leg for the countertop. I had to jack up the cabinets with a car's scissor jack under a 2x4 to raise the legs up a bit and level the thing out! Apparently the weight of the countertop sort of compressed the legs along the rear, putting it about 1/4" low on the overhang
There's still a bit to do, but as soon as it's ready I'll be submitting my survey and new photos
OH! and as a note regarding all of the sound abatement we did...
The neighbor two floors down was playing some bass-heavy music today and I heard it in the bedroom/master bath/closet area, where we haven't done anything to the floors.
I saw him later and asked him if he was playing music, to which he replied yes, but it's in his living room, not the bedroom. The thing is, we couldn't hear ANYTHING from our living room (our layouts are identical).
Wow, it all looks great! How do you like your stove?
This is such fun to read, and you did a fantastic job! My

and I are coonsidering the same stove for our kitchen (except in Titanium, which is white where yours is black.) How do you like yours so far? I'm curious for real life experiences with Bosch ranges.

Thanks, Emmie!
So far we've been very happy with the range. The burners are nicely adjustable, the big burner up front is nice and powerful. I'm not so sure of the whole convection thing, but I think that's more my own getting used to that technology vs. it not working as expected Honestly, we haven't cooked more than a pizza, fries or a sandwich in there, but it does those things just fine.
The sealed buttons on the control panel sometimes don't respond as easily as I think they should, but if you get your finger in the right place, they work fine.
Cleanup is nice and easy. The burner grills (2 of them) pull off and have pads on the bottom so they don't scratch up the sealed top of the range or the countertop and sink when pulled off for cleaning. The stainless top has wiped up very easily, which I'm thankful for because I don't want that to get all scuffed and hacked up. And the burner tops just set in place and can easily be pulled off. I believe they're some sort of coated ceramic, so they'll stand up to a little scrubbing, as will the grills.
All in all, for the money I'm happy with this range so far (20% off! + $150 in gift cards from Sears since the door wasn't perfect when delivered).
