This is the second kitchen I've done with s/s countertops. Once you have 'em, there's no going back ! Easiest to maintain, keep clean, and looks great forever!

I agree with Ted- I really like the way you have the small square doors on the first row of cabs topped by the AVSIKT glass doors above. Unusual, but striking!

I've heard people say stainless scratches too easily - or do you just have to consider it "patina"?

As far as scratching s/s countertops, there are several finishes available. A mirror finish would show scratches. You can get a "brushed" finish, as well as a textured finish with many "patterns". My counter is finished with a "brushed" finish. It gleams bright, but is not a mirror finish. I actually clean it by spraying it with ammonia and scrubbing it with steel wool! So yes it does develop a patina. I think it looks wonderful, and is so easy to keep clean. I didn't get s/s for just for show: I cook and bake all the time - it gets extremely hard use and I needed something that would stand up to very hard use by a careless cook (I put hot things down without a trivet, and don't always use a cutting board, sometimes forget to clean up spills right away, etc. I demolished and drowned a laminate countertop within 18 months of use, due to too much moisture, chips and cuts).
