Undercabinet Lighting

I went with LED-based recessed cans for the overhead light, so it was pretty hard for me to accept anything less for the undercabinet lights. I made the decision early on to run 120v line-level wiring to each cabinet, rather than embed a low-voltage transformer somewhere. That limited my choices somewhat in selecting undercabinet lights that were also LED.

I finally found the perfect product, though: MaxLite undercabinet LED light bars. They each have their own built-in transformer, so they connect directly to line-level wiring. They're also extremely compact.

Here are some shots of the lights, freshly installed:

Re: Jess's Adel Beech Kitchen Remodel

This kitchen is gorgeous. The cabinets look great against the wall color. I certainly hope no one is going to use this kitchen and mess it up in any way.

And I'd be proud, too, if the installers told me that my templates were perfect. Congratulations on the template, the kitchen - everything.

Thanks! But, errr... I was really looking forward to actually cooking in this kitchen at some point.

Re: Jess's Adel Beech Kitchen Remodel

Countertops are finally in! We went with soapstone, and I have to say I'm very, very happy with it. These pictures are in the un-oiled state. Once I oil them, they'll be nearly black. But really, they're pretty nice even in their unfinished state.

Decisions, decisions...
