I have a soft spot (like a fonentel) for the black and white...you know that the infants love the black and white checked patterns...I,apparently, am with the babies!

New Mosaic Tiles
Susan Jablon has added some new tiles, including stainless steel ones, to their offerings. Their Tile Designer is a great thing to play with if you are interested in mosaics.

Eco-friendly tile
If you're looking for recycled content, Coveringsetc.com has some nice tile. Right now their offerings are slim, admittedly, but the tile feels really nice (I've gotten samples).

Brooklyn/NYC Tile/Countertop sources from NYFlicka
Hi Guys

For our granite counter top(black galaxy) & floor tiles (slate) we went to:

L & B Fine Home Improvement 360 Hamilton Ave Brooklyn NY 11231
718-852-0343. Lillian & Andrew are great and oh so helpful. Excellent. The granite was $60 sf- inclusive of everything-cutting, edges, installation & measuring and templates. Hard to beat in NYC. Our slate tiles are gorgeous and got them for $1.60 sf

NY Classic Tile is another great source: Classic Tile CERAMIC, MARBLE, GRANITE,PORCELAIN, SLATE,LIMESTONE, MOSAIC, GLASS, and QUARRY TILE Brooklyn New York | Staten Island | NYC |Manhatten. 1635 86th St Brooklyn NY (Bay Ridge). Great guys & prices. We bought our backsplash tiles for fully $7 a sf less than other places. $20 for Mirage Radiant Series Glass Tiles in "Fall". Plus, Nick delivered it himself in his SUV. Louis & Nick are excellent...and they served me espresso while I was there.
