I was planning to go with the BITNIK handles, but they've been discontinued. LANSA was my next choice, but the more I thought about it, the less I wanted stainless steel handles. I'm purposely avoiding using stainless in the kitchen, going with black appliances instead. (The ADEL birch cabinets are pretty light, and the black should help to tone that down a bit.)

After some searching I found that Lowes sells some handles that are very similar to LANSA (though about twice as expensive). The difference is that these have a matte black finish, which should look great with the birch.

They come in five different lengths, so I'll have some flexibility. The manufacturer name is Gatehouse (which I discovered is a private Lowes brand, so you'll probably only find these at that store).

The Lansa handles are going to be available in black April 07 (or soon after that).

That's good news, since IKEA prices are generally much better than anywhere else. Anything to save a few $$$ always helps. Thanks for the information.

Now if only we knew what new door styles were coming out...
