Hi...new to ikeafans and loving the site. I have read a number of comments in various posts about kitchen cabinets suggesting that the quality of service varies significantly between stores. I am midway between Los Angeles and the Bay area...either direction is fine with me. Can anyone offer recommendations on specific stores for kitchen cabinet purchases including after purchase service if necessary (as I am about 3-4 hours from each area.

Hi pperry - I ordered and had my kitchen cabinets delivered from IKEA West Sacramento ... and had a great experience with them. The kitchen expediter handled several problems that I had and sent replacements via UPS. I know that others have had good experiences with IKEA Emeryville.

Emeryville is getting better, best to order from Stephanie, she's very good. expeditor is good, but can't think outside the box very far. i believe East Palo Alto has some strong reviews as well.

there are a lot of good stores in the south as well. just be nice at covina, seems that some of the ikeans pull the wrong item if you're snarky. inappropriate, i know, but that is from an ikean in the store (still shaking my head.)

The feel of a store means a lot to me. I definitely did not enjoy Burbank. Felt like the love child of Ikea and Wal-Mart. I absolutely loved East Palo Alto. Very conveniently located right off the freeway. Great service and a calmer feel, if that makes sense.

Sorry, those are the only CA coast stores I've seen.
