 What I learned at Ikea last week
Hi Everyone! This isn't really a question, but it seemed a good place to post this information. Last week I spent another couple of hours at Ikea staring at kitchen displays and trying to decide on a door style (see my post in the design section). While there, I learned a couple of things from one of the kitchen designers working there:
1) Orders are running pretty quickly and smoothly for all door styles except Abstrakt Red. That style has a lot of backorders and problems right now. She said it can change, but that's the current state of things.
2) When trying to figure out costs (at least with the 3005 planner), add about 25% of the total to account for all the trim and things that aren't in the planner. She said that might be a little high, but it's generally pretty close.
