I know what that kind of timeline is like. My husband is a biiiig procrastinator, and is easily distracted by other things. So what worked for us was setting some deadlines that we absolutely had to have certain tasks done by. Then each week we would check in with our "to do list" and set some realistic goals, and some smaller tasks we would do if we had the time. Worked out great so far! We still have more to go, but the major parts are done and we are using the actual kitchen (and actual dishwasher and actual sink and actual counters!)
