Canada - Ikea kitchen event is now on
From today until August 10th for every $1,000 spent on an Ikea kitchen including appliances you receive a gift card valued @ $100.00

Since I just ordered my kitchen within two weeks ago I called my store and they said for me to bring in my receipts and I will be able to get gift cards for the value of my purchases.

Hurray.

My understanding is that any kitchen purchased within 45 days of the promo is eligible for the gift card ... take your receipts to the returns desk.

Does that apply to phone orders made from Canada? I ordered on May 31st so I would be just within the 45 day period.

EDIT:

I just called and got a 200 dollar credit!

Hurray that is great news.

Me on the other hand went to the store tonight and was told that they photo copy all receipts and then mail out the gift certificate.

She couldn't tell me when I would be receiving it though.

I am going to follow up tomorrow as I have no "proof" that she took a copy of them.

At the Vaughan store they give you the gift card right away - but each store is a seperate IKEA entity, so procedures will vary.

In theory you could go to any IKEA store and get the gift card by showing your receipts...go for it.
