Ikea cribs: where are they?
Wanting to buy new yet not spend too much money, I had decided to buy an Ikea crib (esp Sniglar, no paint in my baby's mouth or nails), mattress, sheet etc. but found they have NONE in stock! What's with that? They have 4-5 models and none are in stock???

Anyway I couldn't wait for them to be in stock with my baby growing by the inch every day and outgrowing his portable crib. So I bought a used one. But the search for a new mattress is again pointing me to Ikea. Are these really available? The website says they are but I don't want to drive all the way to find out they aren't. Is their phone service any good?

Btw, I am in most part an Ikea fan with lots of the swedish stuff around my house

Too true about the cribs! Supply issues abound! Supply looks fine for mattresses though... all you need to do is give your local IKEA a call and confirm they've got stock before you drive out. The internet is convenient, but don't underestimate the power of living, breathing people!
