We are assembling a Hemnes dresser. Just as my husband is tightening one of the cam locks, the wood splits. If this was on a piece that is facing the wall, no big deal, but this is right in the front where all can see.
I do believe that there is a defect in this piece of wood, as all the other locks did not cause this problem. We've also assembled many other
IKEA products
with no problems.
Can I just take back this one part? or will I have to disassemble the entire dresser and take back all of it? The store we go to is
East Palo Alto
in CA.
