ATLANTA IKEA MEET AND GREET - MARCH 16, 2007 IKEAFANS is planning an IKEAFANS Meet and Greet in the Restaurant at the Atlanta IKEA at 2:00pm on Friday, March 16th. We will be in the restaurant (look for balloons and IKEAFANS Tshirts) and will tour the kitchens department and hopefully have a chance to talk to the kitchens manager while we're there. IKEAFANS FanClub cards and T-shirts @ 25% off will be available (though we'll only have a few with us, luggage limitations). PLEASE Join Us! We look forward to meeting you and having some fun at our favorite place! If you're interested in coming, please let us know!
And of COURSE we're gonna hit the AS IS room... Even if we can't take much back with us

Yeah!!! I don't know that we're going to get the balloons, but we'll definitely be there with shirts on. Yippee!

We got to meet Karen (Karenaviva) and Melanie (machiavelliangirl) - sweet, sweet, sweet and gave us the tour of the store. Got lots of pics of displays and met Guy and Victor in Kitchens, plus Karina who's an Asst. Mgr/PR person for Atlanta. It was a thrill - seriously cool to get to meet everyone and pass out some cards and shirts!
We'll post some pics when we get home - borrowing a computer for the time being...back home on Sunday.

Looks like we missed everyone by a day. A weekday afternoon is impossible for us, but we did make a trip Saturday morning. Picked up some Byom glass doors for some Billy bookcases we already have and some Pronomen countertop for my basement workshop. What I thought was funny was the race to the kitchen section when they opened at 10AM. We were in the lead initially but people cut through everywhere they could to get ahead. Still managed to get helped right away (3rd name on the list) and got the countertop ordered. We were out of there in 2 hours - the shortest amount of time we ever spent in Ikea!
Nearly a year later from our original Ikea kitchen we are almost ready to do the backsplash. One of these days we'll post some recipes as promised (I swear!!).
