Post Hardware

Let's say you have an IKEA product and you would like an extra hardware pack for some reason. Like say you want to use the cool hangers that came with your memoboard on your backsplash ... is there anyway to score 2 extra bags of hardware at customer service? For a price, of course?

I've seen a hardware area, but I was wondering what's over there. I try to avoid returns and exchanges whenever possible.

If I remember corrrectly, the returns and exchanges is where you need to go. We had to get a replacement for one of the bolts that threads into thesquare nut dohicky that slides into the mounting rail for the upper cabs. I think we ended up talking to someone in the returns/exchanges area and she found one for us. There were large parts bins in the area as well but they weren't really sorted at all.

I'd guess that some there could at least point you in the right direction. Can the hardware bags be ordered separately?

Have you tried asking Anna? The results might not be terribly helpful, but they're likely to be amusing...

Well, here's what Anna said:

If you are missing parts, please contact your local store and they will be happy to mail them out to you. Very soon I will be able to help you request missing parts via the IKEA web page!

Which is nice, butI'd like to pay for them, obviously. *darn ethics * I guess I will contact CS and see if I can order some parts bags.

Let us know what you find out? I can see a few instances where we might want to do the same thing. IKEA has some of the most interesting hardware...
