Hello! I purchased a pine bed (now discontinued) from IKEA about 7 years ago. It has been disassembled for about 3 years and I am now trying to put it back together and, of course, the screws are nowhere to be found! I have tried both Lowe's and Ace Hardware and contacted IKEA, but haven't had much luck obtaining the parts I need. I believe I need four cross barrels that are about 7/16" in diameter and four screws that are about 80-90mm long. These parts look very similar to the parts shown in the Sorum instruction booklet (posted on this site). Does anyone have suggestions on where to find these items or have any spare parts?

I've included a picture of the bed (not so safely assembled) if that helps! Thanks!

Welcome.

Make a note of the part numbers and go into your local Ikea's customer service. For a few pieces, they might not even charge anything for them.

Unfortunately, I now live in Colorado and we don't have an IKEA Any other suggestions? Customer service said they couldn't mail me the parts either.

Do you remember the name of the bed? Can you find the instructions in the IKEAPedia (IKEA Instructions - IKEAFANS[109]=Bed).

If you do find the instructions you'll be able to figure out what the missing part numbers are then maybe one of us can look in our stash or go to our local IKEAs for you.

If worse comes to worst maybe there is another instruction sheet w/the parts that look similar to the ones you need so we'll at least be able to get a visual.

I, for one, am just excited that you are going to use the bed again after storing it for so long. Obviously it's still in good enough shape for display in your home.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did finally find the part number on the instructions for another bed, BUT I also was able to find the parts at a specialty hardware store in Boulder, Colorado called McGuckin's! If anyone is in need of future parts in Colorado and can't travel 500 miles to IKEA, give it a try! It's all put together and ready for guests!
