In the article titled "The Mod Pad" - deluxe cabinetry and sliding pantry doors from IKEA meet custom elements like the silestone countertop - they used a mix of abstract white and that pale blue - I forget what it was called - and the Avsikit sliding doors - the say the kitchen is 2/3's IKEA

I just saw that yesterday at the dentist. It's a great house all around. I've always loved the Applad Blue, so it was neat to see it used in that way. They also used my favorite Ikea light fixture - the Knappa.

I saw that picture in Sunset as well and I thought wow light blue cabinets, they must of used a filter for the picture of what I thought was Abstrakt White cabinets. I've never seen Applad Blue cabinets, I guess they don't sell those on the West coast? Any pictures of them?

hi Socal - applad blue is a discontinued door style - I've only seen it used in one kitchen here ... she used a combination of linjar blue and applad blue and her kitchen was absolutely stunning! There used to be a picture of a fabulous Applad Blue kitchen owned by none other than Tyler Florence. And someone here used it for an office. I have no idea if pix are still on our site.
