What is it that makes people hyperventilate when someone mentions Ikea.
Well, obviously IKEA has lots of fans! That's what this board is all about, actually...people who love IKEA. And this forum (Why IKEA?) is chock-full of really good reasons why we do. The price, the quality FOR the price, the experience, the value, the mass appeal....so many reasons!
Browse some of the threads in this forum and you'll find lots of reasons.
IKEA has a great value - great products at great prices. Something for everyone. It's an immersive experience....you go there, get stuck there all day, eat there, get lost there, get exhausted there, and when you get home you're still not done because you've got to put together the stuff you bought. But when you're done, you've got this wonderful sense of accomplishment, and an entire room full of furniture for less than one piece might have cost at a typical furniture store. Better even if you make out in the AS-IS room.
