Hope I'm not repeating the news, but...

Because they want to show how much they stand behind their kitchen line, IKEA has upped their warrantee from 10 to 25 years (purchases after 7/1/07).

If that ain't gonna sell you on the quality, I'm not sure what will.

(We just bought our kitchen... so that would make the price increase we paid much more tolerable!)

I'm 98% sure on the date. That's the date their new fiscal year starts.

I'd love more info as well, because we bought most of our cabinets ON 7/1! (If that is the start date, it should count, but ya never know!)

Someone had posted a kitchen flyer from Asia I think and I noticed they had a 25 year warranty. Glad we have it now too!

I was told that the 25 yr warrantee literature will be available "soon", but I swear I saw round warrantee stickers/pieces of paper on items throughout the store, including a Poang.

So I ended up having two deifferent warranties in my kitchen.

Wow- I wonder what effect the 25 year warranty will have on the ubiquity of POANG on eBay?? (that's for KCMG, that is)
