Hi, I have an Ikea Office Chair but am going to be putting it on a wood floor so don't want to mark it. Is there any replacement wheels with rubber etc that I can put on so it doesn't mark the floor? The plastic mat is not a very attractive solution to the problem!
I can't answer your question because I don't own one of the chairs, but I wanted to welcome you to IKEAFans.
I am wondering if you might find a replacement outside of IKEA, like at your local hardware store.
In the states we have an amazing company called McMaster-Carr that has so many bits and pieces. I'm wondering if there is a place like that on your side of the pond?

I bought a set of five replacement casters for our office chair, which was subsequently broken by a clumsy housemate. But, in any case, the wheels on the casters I ordered are actually rollerblade wheels, in a soft rubber, with nice silent bearings. I think they were a few bucks a piece, and I have forgotten where I ordered them from. The posts were easy to measure and make sure I ordered the right ones.
The result was that the chair no longer ripped up our old oak floors.
Here is some I found online:
At: Chair Casters - Elite Chair Caster for Hard Floors & Carpet

My office chair ALLEK put little grooves on my wood floor everywhere it rolled. The wheels were too hard for the floor. It was a new chair, so the wheels were clean.
I don't know if all the chairs have the same wheels.
Get a flat rug to go under the chair - as long as there's no pile to it, it'll roll around just fine.
